THE AUTHENTIC LEADERS REBRAND: Why Now?
“This is us coming out again, as ourselves and in full colour.”
Authentic Leaders started in 2018 under the leadership of Matthew Cooksey,. Since then, we’ve had the privilege of supporting hundreds of LGBTQ+ professionals and leaders in Australia, Asia-Pacific, and around the world.
Our growth has led us to a moment of rediscovery and rebranding. Here’s why now was the perfect time to redefine and reimagine how Authentic Leaders presents itself to the world.
My Life’s Work: My Journey as an LGBTQ+ Leader
I was thrilled beyond my wildest dreams to take over the leadership of Authentic Leaders in 2021. As a queer person from Singapore, being able to coach and develop other LGBTQ+ individuals to embrace their authenticity and show up fully in their leadership and their contribution to our world was magical. It felt like my heart was on fire.
This is my life’s work.
I want to care for all of us, and help create a world that is rooted in not only LGBTQ+ acceptance, but also a deep love and pride for ourselves and each other. I want us to be the stellar role models we wished we had, inspiring belonging and joy in the relationships and interactions we get to have.
I want every queer person to not just dare to take up space, but to strive to create space for connection and authentic representation.
Our Rebrand: The Growth of Our Queer Leadership Team
As a team, Authentic Leaders has changed and grown. We have evolved. We have connected even more deeply with what it means to be who we individually and collectively are.
Our new rebrand is a creative expression of the journey we took together.
We owe a great deal of thanks and gratitude to Anagata, our brilliant and talented brand design partners in this rebrand. Their attention to detail, collaborative approach and creative spark drove our transformation, and we’re thrilled with the results.
We absolutely love our new colours and form. They embody our commitment to showing up, defying odds and defying gravity, and our love for the LGBTQ+ community.
With everything that is unfolding in the world right now, we hope to continue offering the nurturing support that allows queer folks like us to flourish.
It’s always been about love. And it will always be about love.
A New ‘Coming Out’ for Authentic Leaders
I am so proud to come out alongside my team with our new identity as a queer business and community partner.
Authentic Leaders continues to offer bespoke and potent LGBTQ+ authentic leadership development programs for our clients.
We are partnering with Pride in Diversity in Australia to roll out a larger-scale Pride Pathways program. We are so proud to be their leadership development partner in this adventure.
We are stepping into creating even more new spaces and content, in our commitment to offering inspiration & care to our queer community.
We hope you will continue to join us in this new chapter. May we inspire each other to be the fullest version of ourselves, bring magic to our work, and have some fun along the way.
